Get a closer look at Triage director Danis Tanovic, what motivates him as a director, activist and human being. In this video by AL Jazeera, Tanovic talks about his up-coming film “Cirkus Columbia” (2011) and his motivation for founding grassroots political party Naša Stranka (Our Party). Also, get a retrospective look at his Oscar-winning “No Man’s Land” (a must-watch if you haven’t seen it), and get another brief glimpse of Triage, his latest film which echoes his own experience as a cameraman capturing the war in Bosnia for two years.

    The line that stood out for me was “Our goal is to turn the light on at the end of the tunnel.” Hopefully through awareness and the grassroots effort, that light will be turned on for the future of Bosnia. I’m excited to see Triage and need to see No Man’s Land too.
